Erick: Played a college in St Paul, MN. Got there, rainy weather. The show was in a giant ballroom. The people putting on the show seemed pretty cool, mellow. Sean from Sean Na Na was there. Lucky Jeremy, featuring Jeremy from Sean Na Na, was opening the show. Sean looked exactly like porn superstar Ron Jeremy. The crowd was kind of dead at first. Typical college group -- they could be into it but you're not really sure. They stand there, slightly nodding their heads.
Lucky Jeremy was an awesome vocalist -- he sounds like a cross between Neil Young and Frank Black. The crowd was very unresponsive, through no fault of the band.
Apes went on. There was this one kid in the front freaking out the whole time, which really made the show for us. He was banging his head right up front.
Later we met a girl, Tristan, who said she had seen us in Iceland. Apparently, she'd taken a 13 hour bus ride from Winnipeg, Manitoba to see the show in St. Paul.
Tim from the Fav took all these fake ficus trees that were around the ballroom and put them on stage. Syd unbuttoned his shirt revealing his left nipple. Hot stuff. Fav were great as usual with their crazy antics.
After the show, we noticed that Syd's girlfriend had put a "Take care, I love you" note in his notebook, so we wrote our own to slip in the notebook. It read "Dearest Sydwell, I can't wait till you get back from tour. I miss the way you make up for your woefully inadequate cock by lapping my stinking cunt-juice all night. Love, Melissa..." I don't think Syd enjoyed the note. Oops!

Erick: Day off. Drove to Lincoln, NE. Stayed with friends of Pat from Liars -- Tara and Phil. They were awesome and made rad vegan food for dinner. They were the hosts with the mosts. Phil supplied me with a good H.R. (from Bad Brains) story to add to my collection. He did not have any Harley Flannegan (Cro-Mags) stories. Damn!
