Amanda and Erick: Drove for hours and hours. It was hotter than hell.
Arrived in Denver. The town was ripe with folks that resembled burned-out Jan Michael Vincents, Gary Buseys and Nick Noltes. They all had dried-out, melting skin, the whole deal. They also roamed in packs, sporting crutches and hitting people up for change. The club was the 15th Street Tavern -- small and intimate, a cool place to play a show. The first band, Sparkles, opened the show. They were heavy, reminded me of Karp. Very nice guys. We are going to play a house show with them on the way back.
We went on. Show was pretty good. Cramped stage. Fun crowd. Seth (from Fav) played guitar with us on the last song, "Ape Sounds". He donned the camo shirt. It sounded most excellent!
The Fav went on. At the end (of their set), Tim crawled into the ventilation that ran above the ceiling. I have no idea how he got up there. He was very dirty when he came down, but that's rock and roll.
Oh yeah, when Erick went to the bathroom to take a dump, he didn't look at the toilet seat first and sat down. Lo and behold, it was covered in piss. Most unpleasant.

Amanda and Erick: Another day off as it's another 15 hours to Missoula, Montana. We drove all day through Wyoming and into the lower part of Montana. There is literally nothing in Wyoming. Drove 13 hours. We stopped in Billings around midnight to get lodging. There were no vacant hotels in Billings as some Bowlers' convention was going on there. Stopped in every town for the next 20 miles -- still no vacancies. Drove 60 more miles before we found a motel with a vacancy. Makes us wonder about the tour routing in these parts.
